Dear Chaverot,
Welcome to Israel!
It is with great pleasure that I welcome each and every one of you, my WIZO sisters from around the world, to our Israel – the cherished home of the Jewish people.
The spiritual bond between the Jewish people and Israel has been the source of inspiration, revival and some of the greatest miracles in modern history.
For more than 96 years, this strong bond has been at the heart of our WIZO work. Each one of us translates our deep and special connection with the State of Israel into action through our WIZO projects and institutions.
This year, we are holding the World WIZO Meeting of Representatives (MOR) at the Rebecca Sieff House – WIZO Headquarter, where we will have an opportunity to reunite with our fellow WIZO Chaverot from around the world and celebrate our wonderful achievements.
As you participate in the MOR this year, you will be able to visit our institutions and projects and see with your own eyes the impact that WIZO’s work has on the lives of the most vulnerable in our society.
Since 1920, our WIZO sisterhood has been supporting infants, children, youth, and the elderly- and everyone who comes within our warm and empowering WIZO embrace. We promote equality for women, in the home, in the workplace and in society and provide equal opportunities in education for every child, whatever his background, to build a happy future ahead.
Each and every one of you, my dear WIZO sisters, plays an important role in our organization – a prestigious organization of volunteer women, who have been supporting and building Israeli society for nearly a century.
Together, we continue to strengthen the resilience of Israeli society, and serve as a crucial link between Israel and the Diaspora.
My dear Chaverot, I am certain that your participation at this year’s MOR will help you feel the power of our sisterhood that has achieved so much over the years.
I am certain that coming together under the same roof will fill our WIZO soul with pride and joy to be a part of our wonderful sisterhood.
I am certain that each tour, each session and each moment together will encourage, re-energize and empower you to continue the Avodat Kodesh you do every day for the State of Israel and for our people.
May we all have a productive, meaningful and inspiring MOR.
אלוקים יברך אתכם
May God bless you all.
